Becoming a member of Henderson Community.com is fast and easy. Since your privacy is of outmost importance to us, the only personal information we require you to provide during the registration process is your email address. You must also supply a password and a password reminder, both standard registration requirements on any web site today. We also require that you create a user name. Your user name is what gets associated with all messages you post to the Online Forum, all News articles and announcements you post to the News Engine and every Classified you decide to list in the Classifieds Directory. You have the option of associating your email address to your user name for everything listed above - however, the default is USER NAME ONLY.

The remaining fields on the registration page are optional. At the bottom of the registration page, you may opt to subscribe to Henderson Community.com's Monthly Newsletter. What is My Account?

'My Account' is Henderson Community.com's personalization service. It provides the Henderson Community.com member the ability to single out the features that interest him or her the most and manage them from one centralized location. Past experience has shown that most people tend to do a lot of web browsing while at work, during normal business hours. With that in mind, 'My Account' was created to allow members to "save" the items of interest to them for future reference.

Businesses listed on Henderson Community.com's Business Directory can be "saved" to the 'My Business Directory' section of a member's 'My Account' membership account by browsing a specific business and clicking the "Add This Business To 'My Business Directory'" link located on the left side of the page. As its name suggests, by adding businesses to 'My Business Directory', a member is basically creating his or her own, personalized Henderson, Nevada 'Business Directory'!

Similar to the functionality described above, Non-Profit Organizations listed on Henderson Community.com's Non-Profit Directory can be "saved" to the 'My Non-Profit Directory' section of a member's 'My Account' membership account by browsing a specific organization and clicking the "Add This Organization To 'My Non-Profit Directory'" link located on the left side of the page. As its name suggests, by adding organizations to 'My Non-Profit Directory', a member is basically creating his or her own, personalized Henderson, Nevada 'Non-Profit Directory'!

'My Account' members also have the ability to "track" News articles and announcements, Forum topics and Classifieds they find of interest through the 'My News', 'My Forum' and 'My Classifieds' sections of the account. Clicking the "Add This Article/Announcement To 'My Account News'", "Add This Topic To 'My Online Forum'" and "Add This Classified Listing To 'My Classifieds'" links creates a personalized News Engine, a personalized Online Forum and a personalized Classified Directory for any member of the website.

'My Account' also facilitates the means for our members to make changes or even delete their own Henderson Community.com activity, or, as we like to call it, "stuff" - a member's Business he/she listed in Henderson Community.com's Business Directory, a member's Non-Profit Organization he/she listed in Henderson Community.com's Non-Profit Directory, all topics and replies he/she posted to the Forum, all news articles and announcements he/she posted to the News Engine, etc. Appropriately named 'My Own Stuff', this section of the 'My Account' account was created to allow our members to make corrections in case they have forgotten to write something of importance in their posts, make spelling or grammar changes, change business or non-profit details, add keywords, etc.
